Welcome to Lehighton Bike Night™, the premier one-day motorcycle event on the East Coast. We will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary on August 9, 2008. Last year over 20,000 bikers attended the event. Proceeds benefit the Lehighton Fire and Police Departments.

Lehighton Bike Night™ IX was a tremendous success thanks to the sponsors, volunteers, the Boro of Lehighton, and, of course, the ideal weather. But more important, the success can be attributed to all the bikers who attended the event. As a result, over $18,000 was raised with $17,000 split between the Lehighton Fire and Police Departments, and $1,000 going to the Boro of Lehighton.

Here are some highlights:

• Parade - Noon. Begins at 6th & Coal Streets and ends at Boro Hall. Route includes Coal St., 3rd St., and South St.
• Bike Blessing - 1pm. Located at 3rd & South Streets.
• Poker Run - 1-5pm. The route will take you through the beautiful Pocono Mountains and Carbon County. Register at The Bike Shop. Cash purse.
• Bike Raffle - The winner will have the choice of a Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster, a Yamaha YZF6 Sportbike, or $5,000 in cash. Raffle tickets will be available at Lehighton Bike Night Headquaters in front of the Boro Building or at The Bike Shop.
• Bike Show - The show will include the following classes: Radical/Tow-ins, Metric Cruiser, American Cruiser, Metric Touring, American Touring, Sportbike, Antique, Custom, Stock Big Twin, Stock Little Twin, Trike/Side Car, and Rat Bike. The winner of each class will receive a trophy. Sign-up at the Bike Show area.
• 'Lil' Mr & Ms Lehighton Bike Night' Contest - Open to girls & boys ages 4 to 6. In Bandshell between bands at approximately 3:30 pm. Sponsored by Tricia's Dance Extreme. Contact Tricia Hettler at 610-377-5500 for more information.
• Live Music - Three bands will showcased in the Bandstand behind Boro Hall for your enjoyment. "Savage Remo" will perform from 1-3 pm, "Mike Stanley Band" from 4-6 pm, and "Crisis" from 7-9 pm.
• Rodeo Games - Events include a Slow Race, Water Baloon Catch, and Ring Toss. Sign up at Lehighton Bike Night Hqs. No entry fee.

Over 50 retail, food, and non-profit vendors will be participating. A new feature this year is the Kiddie Korner which will provide games and entertainment for youngsters aged 2-7. Check our schedule for more information on all of our events.
